Sorry but I had better cuy in Arequipa (fried). Maybe I was unlucky or it was bad timing (4pm) but the food was not good. The skin either flummy / elastic or hard as stone. The meat was fine, the filling had a taste I personally didn't like. Locals were there and seemed to enjoy it. So if you want to go for the local experience, give it a try. Price value / a bit more expensive than in Arequipa but the cuy was huge (but still a cuy, so not that much meat).

Nice mom and pop style restaurant that serve Peruvian dishes. Food seems to be reasonable at 25sol per dish. I had the 1/4 cuy. Great place to sample it before saying you really like it.
