FYI this is now Matrix Gym Club. Most of the reviews are for Premium Gym which has moved around the corner (currently misspelled "Premien" in Google Maps). I didn't work out at Matrix but it looked fine (although much smaller than in the photos) so I'm giving it 4 stars.

This gym was under renovations, they have all brand new equipment. Comparable to the gyms I frequent in Canada and USA. I’ve check out a few small ones around Cusco and none are even close in comparison. Heading there right now for another session. You have to walk into a building and go Downstairs. There have everything you’d need. 20 soles drop in 200 soles for the month.
Well equipped gym. Day pass is 20 soles. Good music too!
20 sol for a day pass. Small space but got a good workout in. They have a power rack, flat bench, cable stack.
Good gym.. couple og weight benches dumbell to 42.5kg. Machines Squat Loads of plates 20 soles day pasd. Protein shakes abailable
This place is OK for the following reasons: 1. Can pay for a day session. 2. They will mix a protein shake for you at a reasonable price. 3. Staff is friendly. 4. Plenty of equipment and machines to work every major muscle group. The cons: 1. Dirty/smelly locker/restroom. 2. No leg press machine.
Cheap gym near the main square. Enough equippment to get a good workout in.
Premium gym is a pretty well furnished gym. Some of the equipment needs better upkeep, they definitely need more weight clips, and they could benefit from a couple new dumbell sets, however they have everything you need to get a full workout. Flat bench, decline, incline, preacher curl, squat rack, row machine, leg machines, barbells for standing rows, etc... They have everything you need for a full workout and the price is pretty decent, significantly cheaper than the Golds Gym at the mall off ave cultura. (Perks to golds are the equipment if a little newer and they have more space, but honestly for the price I was extremely disappointed). Premium gym is a solid gym for us rats. Beware though, during peak times it is wall to wall people. You can still get your workout done during peak without too much hassle but mind your space because no one in that place knows how to safely navigate a weight room (standing right next to you doing squats, leaning on the weight racks etc..) Side note, as a healthcare professional let me inform you, if you're a tourist in Cusco for a week, do not attempt to do heavy weight training or strenuous cardio. If you're here for longer than a week, sure, ease into it but beware that acclimating to the altitude will take longer than you might think and you don't need to black out in the middle of squats or deadlifts. You'll notice your lactic acid will also shoot up pretty fast.
