Not much info on the web from the USA but this station is open for direct train service from Cusco to Machu Picchu on Inca Rail only as Peru Rail starts service from Peroy station. We bought our Machu tickets and then the Inca Rail tickets. Buy your bus tickets up to Machu Picchu in Cusco at the bank or the bus ticket office to save the hassle of waiting in line. Tour guides are available at the the entrance to Machu Picchu for 60 USD or 140 soles for two people. You can do this all by yourself with ease and no tour company’s involved and save yourself about 300. We did the 360 train from Cusco at 5:00am and they say to Be there 30 minutes before but all your going to do is sit in a waiting room for 15 minutes. make sure to bring food since all they serve you is bread and tea. The 360 train is a bumpy ride so if I were to do it again I might consider taking a bus to the last train station
