Yuri's house is amazing! Yuri is super friendly, accommodating, helpful, and fun. He is a great cook and I was always well fed. The energy/environment is always fun because there are a lot of people from all over the world staying there. I was nervous because I went to Peru by myself but Yuri made me feel right at home. We had cookouts at the house, the rooms were cozy, and the house was kept neat and tidy. Yuri's mom is very sweet and helps out around the house. Yuri's house is seriously the best place to stay in Cusco if you want a chill, fun, yet authentically Peruvian environment to stay in.

I found this place through a friend almost four years ago. This is the PERFECT place for staying in Cusco, if you are looking for a very nice Hostel (not "hotel"). This place is cute, clean, simple, safe, and VERY AFFORDABLE. It's also 15 minutes from the airport.
There are stairs, so it is not suitable for people with mobility issues or health issues, or small children.
I got a private room here for 20. They have shared rooms also for even less, and the owner makes sure to keep the shared rooms between friends, or the same sex for safety and comfort. There's even a rooftop covered terrace with a gorgeous view. Great place to start the day with a cup of coffee before going on an adventure.
They helped me plan my tours, trips, and made some really amazing recommendations for restaurants and historical sights. They even took me to the market and showed me around!
The owner speaks amazing English and will go above and beyond for each of his guests.
I am very particular about cleanliness, and this place felt super clean and cozy. I highly recommend it!
Stayed here for a few nights and felt very at home. The place is cute, safe, clean, and welcoming. They helped me figure out the easiest ways to get around town and I enjoyed staying there very much. Definitely recommend, especially ages 18-50 as there stairs and it’s not suitable for small children or old folks.
The warmth of a home with Carbajal family, theyre always attentive to your needs it gives meaning to the intercultural experience. So pleasant to share dinner with the other guests where we enjoy the delicious local food prepared by our host Chef Yuri, and on Fridays we have BBQ Party. The rooms are warm and comfortable and the terrace is ideal for relaxing, to listen or play music, reading and ideal to enjoy the sun hours or practicing yoga with a beautiful view of the mountains and the city
I stayed with Yuri for a week in January while volunteering in a program called Maximo Nivel. He was a very fun, engaging, and accommodating host. Being in the house felt like being part of his family. Beds were comfortable, showers were warm, and the location was a 10-15 minute walk from the main square. The house has comfortable communal spaces. I enjoyed spending a few nights relaxing and reading on his rooftop patio before turning in for the night. The location is next to a bus stop that starts up pretty early, so bring ear plugs if you like to sleep in. I was not bothered by the noise once I started using ear plugs. I walked home at night after 10p each night and felt that the area seemed safe (29 y.o. male).
Loved it!!!
