I’ll start with the good: - The bike. It was practically brand new, everything functioned as expected, and it was perfect for our trip. Pretty much everything else was sub-par: - They didn’t have much of a selection of helmets and gear, the gloves I got were ripped and pretty beat up. They said we could borrow riding “jackets” if we wanted, but it turned out it was only armour and they were in pretty rough condition - We told her we would pick the bike up at 10am, and after eating breakfast we arrived a little late, around 10:10am. She told us she was about to leave because she thought we weren’t coming. Strange, since they didn’t close until 6pm. - The bike had no fuel in it when we picked it up. We were told to go fuel it up ourselves. It cost 40 soles to fill, and I bet we only used 1/10 of that fuel. - We told her we’d be back at 5pm, and we were. I walked in the door at 5:01pm, the other people there didn’t know where she was and didn’t know what to do. I’d given her my passport for the guarantee I’d return her bike but the other employees couldn’t find it. Eventually she showed up nearly an hour late, barely apologized, and handed me my passport. It was my last night in Cusco and I missed out on having dinner with this really cute girl because we had to wait needlessly in a stupid rental shop instead.
