I've had a terrible experience with Almet Doors. I am a resident at Eyre Campus flat blocks in Fettes in Edinburgh and our factor agent Spiers Gumley use Almet Doors for our garage door installation and automatic openers. I spoke to an agent at Almet for a replacement electronic garage door opener and the agent told me the incorrect price for the opener and only upon looking at my bank account found I was charged more that what I was told. On top of this, I was told the opener was in stock and would be posted to me and only upon following up, was told it was not in stock. I was also told I would receive a receipt for my purchase of this opener and I still have not to this day received a receipt!!! I asked to speak to the manager to raise these issues who even indicated a receipt would be emailed out to me that day and I still have not received one on top of having to wait longer for the opener and being overcharge from what was first indicated. A terrible customer service experience. I am a member of the community group at Eyre Campus of 300 residents and are currently requesting to Spiers Gumley to open this client contract up to another provider and stop using Almet doors.

Our Bo'ness factory roller door was damaged in the storm last week, 1st February 2016, and was blown of its runners.When we called Almet they advised that because of the amount of calls to have storm damaged doors fixed it may be some time before they could attend. They arrived later that day. The technicians were extremely positive and had a real \ can do \ attitude to what was a badly mangled door. In a very short time they had it fixed. Wonderful service, again, thanks.
