Good 4 mile walk out past the oval bearing left and then follow the path around but stay at the same height and don't take the path that leads down. U can just see wellington monument from up there

Stunning views to the west, Exmoor and Dartmoor. Location has become very popular during lockdown with increased footfall. Substantial footwear recommended for approaches from all directions during the winter.
This beautiful place has surprises and mystery every time you visit. Safe pathways as long as you like a good walk. You don't need to be a rambler to enjoy this walk the views are amazing and the history of the beacons is explained on posts as you go along. There are several places to park around the beacon all of which have paths leading up to the top. Abundance of wildlife to be seen including; wild horses, rabbits pheasants and more.
A pleasant walk up to the beacon and exquisite views for miles across Devon once you’re there. For those interested in history, the beacon represents a fascinating period in the UK’s Elizabethan history.
Lovely views after a steep climb
