If you're looking for some REAL relaxation and serenity, THIS is the place to stay. Beautiful and extremely peaceful surroundings matched with a lodge that is extremely well equipped and spacious enough for a family to stay in, oh and the hot tub.....oh yes. Love it. Collumpton village is only 3 minutes away and has some very nice pubs and restaurants and a supermarket. EVERYTHING you need is just a 3 minute drive (or 10 - 15 min walk) Can't fault it at all. An AWESOME time was had, DEFINITELY going again.

Bit late for the review but we stayed in Lodge 1 27-30th December last year and we absolutely loved it so did the dog. Beautiful scenery and lovely dog walks. Hubby caught loads of healthy fish Carp, Bream and Tench. The hot tub was nice and warm and clean and so was the lodge. We loved the added touch of Christmas tree and decorations, the kitchen was well equipped, powerful hot shower, comfortable bed. The TV signal was a bit hit and miss but to be expected. We have decided this will be our annual Christmas break and can’t wait to go back this December

We stayed at Upton Lakes 7 and a half years ago and lodge 1 was immaculate. To our dismay we turned up on the 17th October to be met with a pot holed road, but when we got to lodge 5 the planter outside was broken. We entered the lodge and at first all seemed well until we tried to shut the door it would only shut and lock when slammed, just needs basic maintenance, same for the side door. There was a large puddle of water on the floor in front of the half wall, I can only assume the washing machine leaked onto the floor. The on suite bathroom extractor didn't work, the cold tap wouldn't turn on without brut force, there was unsightly mould in the shower. The second bedroom, clearly hadn't been cleaned, when I moved the beds from the wall there were dead flies under the window and in the corner by the other bed was a piece of screwed up paper. No pillow cases in the second bedroom. And the worst thing of all was the cooker extractor, I can only describe as rank, most definitely not been cleaned for a very long time. I also took note of the gas certificate on the gas boiler was due to be checked again in January 2020. Most definitely dissatisfied with the inside The decking on the outside had been cleaned at sometime but was green and very slippery when wet but behind the hot tub the decking was rotten, where the filler tap was on the wall was constantly leaking and the wall in that area was sodden. Neadless to say I won't be returning. Lodge in great location but very tired and worn.
