Can't wait for the port to be more developed over time as it might be a convenient northern cruise hub. Need to mention that accessibility after getting off the ship is a concern due to the geography of the current layout which involves a steep hike up a gradient to get over a small canal between the dock and the car park area. However there was a shuttle bus offered and I highly recommend using it if you are less than perfectly mobile. The steepness is quite a breath taker, though porters do help with luggage on a small conveyor belt. Once at the top you are in a public car park where you can meet your coach or taxi service and there is a taxi rank very close by. You are across from the Three Graces and Mal Maison hotel which are part of Liverpool's lovely waterfront.
Not a lot to see or do in general, but when there's a ship in, it provides a fantastic spot to view whatever is docked.
