I could not recommend these lovely ladies enough! They were so cheerful and understanding and you can see that they all really care about the animals! Though I didn’t get to take a look at all their babies (due to COVID guidelines) the ball of fluff I took home with me is beautiful - he is visibly well looked after and so HEALTHY in comparison to those born from over-bred and stressed out mothers. I had been wanting a hamster for so long but I had such trouble finding an ethical breeder - if you are in a similar predicament please do consider Scallywags. They have great stock, a knowledgable team and they don’t have any of the tiny “cute” cages that are completely unsuitable for pets - they have the real deal, spacious ones that a pet deserves. Their system of half hour appointments is great as I got to learn how to handle my new friend and the information pack they provide is fantastic - really comprehensive and I love how much thought they’ve put into everything. Shoutout to Kim who was so helpful in getting me started with my hammie and gave me advice over the phone this morning. I will now be making all my purchases from Scallywags (they offer a delivery service for those of us who aren’t local) because it is so important to support small businesses that are truly trying their best in these difficult times. This team is truly dedicated to their little friends and I can’t recommend them enough xx And if you managed to get to the end of this incredibly long love letter to Scallywags, here is my new baby :D

I can highly recommend this pet shop. Fantastic service. I bought a hamster cage from this shop on eBay and this seller was absolutely great. Really fantastic service. They really went out of their way to provide the best service from any eBay seller I have used . Buy online or at the shop with total confidence. A benefit to their local community and shoppers further away. FANTASTIC SERVICE !!!!!!

I picked up my hamster from Scallywags today, it is so nice seeing a pet shop that truly cares for their animals. Their hamsters are gorgeous and had such lovely cages. This is a huge contrast to my previous pet shop experiences, where they were all shoved in tiny glass tanks. They also gave me a booklet with a ton of helpful information, and a tutorial on how to get him used to me. I was pretty nervous about his fearfulness, but they offered me in-store/phone support for whenever I needed it. This is very kind especially as we are facing a pandemic and many essential businesses are super busy right now. If you care about animals and ethical breeding you must come here.

After waiting a month we finally got our guinea pig babies and it was a well waited wait, from start to finish of purchasing to collecting our piggys Karen was amazing and so helpful and would highly recommend this shop. All the animals are so scrumptious and well handled and cared for.
