Unnamed Road

Wide open spaces and a short walk to the beach, a great area for dog walkers. 2 toll road to access with plenty of parking spaces, the only downside is the speed humps every 50or so metres on a single track road with ample passing places. The area was used as a training area for the US armed forces for the D day landings and concrete imitation landing craft can still be seen in the dunes. No toilet facilities.

Perfect place for what it is, no toilets that I could see but great place to park for a walk around Crow Point and Braunton Burrows. The car park is accessed via a toll road (2 coin slot operated) just south of Velator Quay.
2 toll to pay but can park all day and have access to a wonderful walk to beach and estuary. Even had a show from armed forces on exercise in the dunes.
The toll booth is around 2miles from the car park with speed bumps along the length of the access road. Really good scenery on the drive down to the car park, then onto a gravel car park, as others have said no amenities but lovely walk, not too busy lots of space between people and the dog loved it. As it is an estuary the water was brown, but clean, not as windy compared to the busy beaches. Would definitely go back!
I love the peace and quiet here. Fabulous views and great to be away from the crowds. These pictures were taken in December!
