A very nice and cozy place to eat. The food is great, it's like a buffet, where you can choose what and how much you want to eat, which is great. The personal is so polite. If you go there, ask for Viki, she's the best!

Always lovely food and the staff are very nice. Found it weird that during covid you can still go up to the food and lean over it but thankfully they have finally put a screen up between the customer and the food this week. I don't get why a member of staff then has to bring it to my table for me. That means one more person is touching the food when I could just do it myself and they don't have to touch it for me
Great carvery as usual with this chain. Impressed with how well drilled the staff are. Well drilled and pleasant at same time. They bring food to your table and despite not being able to get more veg the chefs provided generous portions. Very covid secure place. Well done toby
My first negative review. On arrival we got a drink at the bar and tried to pick up a menu to take to the table. They were dirty and all stuck together. Our table was dirty despite the whole area being empty. There were signs saying free upgrade to large carvery on Tuesday with the app. I had the app and it was Tuesday but was told I had to pay for this because it wasn’t showing up on the app despite asking for the manager and pointing out the sign. The ladies toilets had no toilet paper in them and the outside areas were a mess with exposed wires all over both umbrellas. The meal it’s self was OK although the potato’s, Yorkshire’s and stuffing were all cold. It just wasn’t good enough. I had a bad experience the last time I went to a Toby about 10 years ago. I’ll continue to avoid them in the future. It’s not my first bad experience but every other bad experience I’ve had has been put right by the staff. They had no interest in doing this here hence the review
Really enjoyed our meal today. Went there with my husband and my brother, the waitress was pleasant and attentive and we had our drinks within a few minutes of ordering. You are given a buzzer to let you know when to go and get your meal which is served up by the chap who carves the meat. All very quick and all dished up to what you want. Really good service.
Christmas dinner cancelled at Surrey eatery so tried to book elsewhere. Phoned Toby Carvery with two days notice and was surprised i could book a meal for myself and my wife. Arrived for meal and was surprised how organised they were. We were well looked after. Food was hot and plenty of it. Thoroughly enjoyed meal and was surprised how well my wife ate. She is such a fussy eater and she said she enjoyed it. She didnt have to tell me i could see from remains on plate. Hardly any! Very enjoyable and value for money. Will visit again!!
For a family get together Toby offers a reasonable quality, priced menu in a buffet style setting even in these Covid times. The staff are welcoming and provide a good service. There is car parking available.
