We did one day knife making course: Jake was great, extremely knowledgeable and talented and a great teacher. Jake adapted the course to better suit our needs without any complaint or hesitation. I would highly recommend this course or the blacksmiths course to anyone who is interested. The work shop is well equipped and in a beautiful location. 5 stars
I ordered a custom dragon fire poker at very short notice on a Sunday afternoon - Jake was incredibly friendly and willing to help, and the poker arrived early in the afternoon on the following Wednesday! The poker itself is absolutely stunning - the level of detail and craftsmanship in such a small item is exquisite. It was a gift for my dragon-loving husband, and he was completely taken aback by it! We will definitely be adding some more pieces to our collection on day. Thank you!
We did the Bushcraft blade in a day course - really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it. It was really interesting to experience a day in a working blacksmiths, learn the processes and techniques, and have a go for yourself. Jake is really knowledgeable and a great tutor. Having small groups means you get plenty of time having a go, with Jake on hand to advise and guide every step of the way. Thanks for a great day
A fantastic day! Jake is quite simply an excellent teacher. He was fun and friendly, everything was demonstrated and well explained, with help and encouragement on hand throughout so we could get on and 'have a bash' with confidence. Jake was really flexible when it came to tweaking what we were making, and we came away from the day buzzing and feeling really accomplished, with items that will take pride of place in our home. Highly recommended.
I can't say enough GREAT things about Jake. I found his shop online and he was super quick to respond and ship. I needed the fire tongs quickly for a birthday present and he was wonderful. The craftsmanship of the tongs is top notch. They are easy to handle and the work of a true artisan.
