Was visiting from Calgary Alberta and stumbled across this restaurant. Absolutely amazing service and food. Highly recommend

Usually I end up over at the pub called Don Cherry's I believe they share the same kitchen as the West Coast Grill. I'm not much of a fan of seafood but every time that I've been there with someone who is they say that the food is delicious. There's not a huge menu of items that don't have seafood in it but the items that I've tried have all been delicious. The booths have large backs and private dining experience which is also nice if that's what you're looking for. The only downside of the restaurant that I I would mention is that there's no windows so it does feel a little bit closed in. Otherwise it's well worth a visit for dinner!
Food is usually as expected. Service can be good and bad. Nice menu, confirm that the fish you are ordering is wild.
Because of a large party of 20 dinner was quite a long while arriving, but it was still tasty and hot. Too bad WCG is closed for breakfast. That used to be a real draw for me to stay at the Prestige Inn, but now that they’re closed I’ll have to move on. Disappointed about the breakfast thing.
It seems that whoever takes over this place is always doomed to fail. We've seen 6 restaurants come and go, at least, and they always seem to have the same problems. No advertising, no coupons, the servers are far too dedicated to the bar (where they get the most tips I guess) patrons, food is not bad but inconsistent and there is NEVER anyone assigned to watch the till at the opposite end from where the bar is. They sure are relying on the honour system....
Horrible. Dont go. A wedding party books basically the whole hotel, they decide to have new cook that day there was a table of 10 with 5 being kids. Ordering a omelet and pancakes scrambled eggs, and one eggs Benedict. This took over hour and a half. The service was poor as they came to use twice while we waited letting us know there was a new cook. We even offered to help. Ot took 20 mins for just coffee and orange juice. The fresh cut ham was deli ham for your sandwich, the benny's eggs were inedible, and then they proceeded to have. 34.00 extra charge that the servers never seen!!!! Next morning we try one more time as there was no where to go I walking distance with two toddlers. They charged be 42.00 for a buffet , keep in mind that was one adult, two toddlers. The buffett consisted of everything empty expect the pancakes and half a tray of hashbrowns. With the ends of fruit. I asked for orange juice for kids and coke for myself and it was an issue. My daughter accidentally spilled the juice and I had to clean it up and the server didnt bother to help, or anything as the second one fell off the booth screaming. I am proud to say I didnt tip and I won't be back and did warn everyone else not to go and waste there money.
The food here is great, the wings are especially tasty.
Absolutely love going here! Staff and food are amazing!
