fruit of labour......from Himalaya's to Scotland, what a journey. Dawa Sherpa is such an inspiration.

Fabulous, beautiful gardens with a Himilayan theme. The owner and gardener have travelled to Nepal to research and source plants and their passion, and expertise really shows. We loved the subtle mix between formality and a more natural look. The diversity and vibrancy of the garden is overwhelming. Space has been utilised really well, with lots of different themes and habitats throughout (including a wonderful waterfall and gorge !!). Many of the plants seen can be bought at very reasonable prices at the entrance. Everybody there was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable, we found them inspirational. Will certainly return when we are back in the area. We have been to quite a few garden in the UK and Craigieburn ranks right up there with the big, famous sites.

What an amazing place! We popped in on the way home from Scotland. Just wanted to peruse the plants and we were greeted by (who we now know was) Dawa, who advised us that the gardens were available to view, all of 6.5 acres, for a small charge (3.50). We were on a bit of a time limit, but thought we'd have a quick tour. And, boy, are we glad we did. These gardens are breathtaking. Very unusual, rugged and natural, many of the plants have been propagated from Dawa's homeland, the Himalayas. He has cultivated this parcel of land using hand machinery over 15 years. With a dramatic backdrop of hills and valleys, including a waterfall, it's like walking through a secret garden of immense beauty, with moss covered statues hiding around corners and real dogs that pop over to say hello. Dawa advises that if you see anything you like either take a picture or pinch off a leaf and he can source it for you. We wanted several plants and were amazed at the price he charged for them. I was expecting at least double the price. Dawa then showed us his personal garden and told us to not worry about the structure and colour when planting and just enjoy it. We're definitely going back. A total gem in the Moffat area. If this review helped - please hit the like button. Thank you.⁸
