We looked at the menus of pretty much every restaurant on the wharf. This particular one was giving out samples of their chowder at the front door. Which was amazing. The place across the street was as well, but this one was better in my opinion. The waiter was super attentive and friendly. He made excellent suggestions. The food was all cooked to perfection and tasted great! This is for sure a place to try! Great food, great service, and an excellent view!
A larger restaurant than most on the wharf, it is towards the far end and easier to get into on a holiday weekend. The maitre'd was helpful and we were seated on the balcony overlooking the Marina. Indoor seating was prohibited due to Covid restrictions. The order of service wasn't quite right. First came bread plates and cutlery, second our order was taken and we requested bread and butter. Next our bottle of wine was delivered and then our food. After asking again, bread was delivered and we were a little surprised it was not sourdough given the location. As with anything on the Wharf, food was a little pricey but pleasant enough and nothing was left.
Definitely one of the best dinners we've had on the wharf. We started with the crab and shrimp Louie salad; it was yummy. The gnocchi with prawns was spicy and delicious. The king crab was excellent and the sauce it was in was perfect. The boat/bay view and people walking by enhanced our outdoor dining experience. The wait staff was appropriate attentive.All in all eating at the Crab House was a delightful summer evening experience.
