I enjoyed three carvery meals on three evenings during October 2020. On each visit the staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The choice of meat and vegetables was excellent as was the flavour of all the food. Actually managed a pudding once, which was delicious. Such great value whether paying the full price or with a voucher getting a discount. We need to support this super venue to ensure it remains open for future dining

3.5 * Was nice, but not excellent. Meat sliced too thin (basically shaved) I understand the idea is to fill up on vegetables, but still I would prefer to have a slice of meat that I can actually taste and not some paper thin shaving. Vegetable selection was great. And the Yorkshire Pudding was excellent. Desert were nice.
Excellent covid-19 distancing etc in place. You get a list of what's available from the carvery you tick what you want and they dish it up and bring it to your table. Excellent portion sizes! Fresh hot cooked food. The waitress was charming and helpful. Explained everything very well. Only slight down side was the decor is looking a bit shabby in places (the bench seat along the walk was ripped in a couple of places) and it was quite dark in the restaurant. But other than that, glad we visited. If we are back in Coventry area again would definitely go back!
My husband and workmate have just eaten here and cannot recommend it enough. Their server Pauline was just absolutely fantastic and a credit to her employer. They had such a wonderful experience they phoned me to make sure I put on a review. They have said Pauline went above and beyond for them. I'd they could give 10 stars they would have.
Due to second wave of corona we had thought we would not be able to get a Sunday roast here but booking was like usual.We was guided to our seats upon arrival were the waitress had taken our drinks order then pointed out that me an partner could go up to be served. The chef places items on our plate brings places at your table.Meat is always superb. Thanks
Due to Covid-19, I was wondering how the service would work with a self service carvery. I have to say they have done a great job in serving guests and keeping this going. I had to book via the website, arrived and shown to table wearing our masks, when sat at the table masks could come off. Drinks orders taken and a sheet on the table to fill in your orders (bring a pen), basically ticking what you do want from the carvery. This order was taken and plated up for us and served to the table. So for anyone looking to pile your plate think again, however, portion sizes are still big. I was very impressed with the service and way this was managed.
I saw the invitation to book Christmas lunch right next to the normal menu prices, so we booked. After deciding to cancel we thought that we could put the deposit toward a normal meal and pay extra for drinks and desserts. BEWARE THE DEPOSIT IS NON REFUNDABLE!!! It is not written clearly on the deposit receipt, but in the middle of an attached leaflet. We are both in our 70s on pensions
