Tiny chapel with semi puritan style interior. Friendly inclusive church. Little wooden booths with latch doors to sit in groups. services unpolished with lots of rural charm. You can see the signs of features that have changed since it was built in the 17th Century. The filled-in fireplace. The hangers - reputedly used to park stovepipe hats. The stone window frames with the dark ghosts of fittings perhaps used for oil or candle lighting. Services have a naive and charming ambience and at times the organist slips in a Les Dawson style note sequence, but that just adds to the charming homeliness. It seems to run on a shoestring and it would be a shame if it were lost as a working church, so if you visit, please donate.
