I had a little bow blind mishap and ended up with the string off the cams of my new VXR. Called Clyde's before he closed that evening and spoke with Clyde. He told me he didn't open until 11 but to meet him there at 10 the next morning. I made the 113 mile drive from Fowlerton to Corpus and Clyde met me at the front door of his shop as promised at 10 am. Had me fixed up and headed back to hunting in about 10 minutes, and one heck of a friendly fellow to boot. Thank you Clyde. It's good to see people still doing business the right way!

Took my son's Matthew's bow in to have a drop away rest installed and his bow squared. I told Eric about some other issues with the bow. Eric told us the bow would be ready in a few hours. When we got back we took a few shots and adjusted the peep. 15 shots later we had a group in the 10 ring. Clyde and Eric truly have a passion for archery and customer service. You can't put a price on that.

Drove in from Inez TX to test a Mathews bow! First trip I got turned away cause there was a competition. What ya don’t leave room to serve customers and blow the chance on a 1500 deal? Then made plans with owner to come back in 3 weeks! Called Tuesday to verify range would be clear and some one would be there to set up a bow and let me shoot! Told me no problem they would be waiting on me! Second visit and guy working was a very nice but older gentleman that didn’t have the experience and knowledge to set up a bow! What pro shop doesn’t staff it with some one who knows how to set up a bow? Owner is a very nice guy but needs to real in the business and have a talk with Eric about customer service and how not to run off business! Really wanted to give them my business but after two failed attempts does anyone blame me? Hope y’all can get it together!

Clyde's is not for the Novice. I recently purchased a long bow from an online vendor. A friend told me there was an archery store in CC, I was excited to go and look at some products and maybe get some advice! At first my experience seemed pretty positive. One gentleman was helpful, I explained I was looking for some better quality arrows than what had come with my bow. He explained they custom made arrows and that for a dozen I'd be looking at 54 dollars, I was a bit hesitant, and then he suggested that I get 5 or 6 to start, that seemed reasonable, I assumed it would have been approximately half the price. I am not sure what exactly happened, no one was forth coming with information, but when I went back to pick up the arrows the total was more than 64, which was more than what I a was priced for double the amount of arrows. You can imagine my confusion, but I had already had them custom build the order. The general vibe in the store is very uncomfortable for anyone not in their apparent circle. Also, I just went into the store the day before with my two young boys yet no one seemed to remember who I was or that I had done a transaction with them. Even though all the same people were there. I wasn't given an itemized receipt for the arrows themselves, so, though I thought about going back I would have no way to show how much I paid. It is a shame that the only archery store in town is so unfriendly for the novice archer, no advice, very little in the way of support or customer care.

Mr. Clyde, Mr. Steve, and Mr. Rob set my daughter up with the equipment she'd need to compete as a beginner archer in 4-H. They followed that up with instruction that had her placing consistently in the top three at 4-H, TFAA, and NFAA competitions. Love these guys!
