I walked into the store and was met with aggression from the customer service representative when I presented ID that did not match the delivery address. I accept that this is UPS policy and this is not why I felt the need to give a bad review, but rather how this was communicated. This person should not be on the front line if their attitude today with me is their normal approach, and she even attempted to lure me into an argument about their service. Maybe they were having a bad day but never take that out on the customer. As a small business owner myself who requires delivery service I will now avoid UPS at all cost. Based on some of the other reviews on here it seems like this should be everyone's approach.

Went to the ups store to print some files that I wasn't able to print, due to technical error on my part. The girls there were very helpful and were able to help me out. They were very nice and helpful. While there I was asking questions about my return for an online purchase and they told me that if I wasn't able to print the label that all I had to do was email it to them and they would be able to print it for me. I did it on the spot since I wasn't sure if I could get my printer working anytime soon. What a great place and service is superb.

Update: the response from the owner is NOT what I was told. My Caucasian boyfriend sent out my exact package today with no problems whatsoever (I am Asian). His package was not taped, just like mine. He didn’t have to pay 15 for tape, didn’t have to buy one of their boxes and they took his package, no problem. He was in and out within minutes while I waited in the car. During my visit, the manager told the rep “sanitize that” when I returned their box to them. I didn’t think anything of it at the time due to covid-19 but I truly believe I was discriminated against at this location due to my race. Regardless of who served us, two people should not get completely different service at the same location. Absolutely sickening. All I wanted was to ship out my package. I agree with other reviewers that the customer service here is extremely rude and awful. I came in with my own box and prepaid label. Told by the rep that because it was not taped, I either had to buy a box or bring it back taped as they refused to touch my box. But then the manager advised “we don’t have a box that will fit your package”. My package was no bigger than 1 foot long. I immediately found one that fit. As soon as the rep saw that it fit, she went to the back to speak to her manager quietly. She came back and said “it’s going to cost 20”. Seriously?? Even with a prepaid label. 5 for a box and 15 for labour. Also, called UPS and I was told that I shouldn’t have had to buy my own box or have to pay 15 to tape a box. I’ve been to other UPS Store locations in Ottawa and never heard of this. 15 to tape a box is ridiculous. It was clear they were just trying to get rid of me. Filed complaint already with UPS.

I went to this store to ship some boxes on an account. I was told to call UPS to come pick it up at my place as they don't get paid on Shipments sent on accounts. They also told me they don't like boxes as they don't want to left them. Then I asked a question about the forms and she told me to figure it out and they won't help anyone with an account it was self service. So I went to Purolator instead and they were more than happy to help. Actions of a couple made a really bad experience for us today #notoUps
