Tarka is a unique restaurant among the “Indian/Pakistani” restaurants. As a big family we’ve been relishing their freshly cooked chicken, lamb and everything else since they opened. With the challenge of the pandemic, Tarka and the management and staff have not just survived, they have maintained their quality and timeliness, in take-out and now in limited indoor seating. I’m quite comfortable with the distances they maintain between groups. The food is prepared from scratch for every order and I can tell the difference, fresh, hot and spicy, deliciously garnished with ginger, onions, peppers and spices, I’ve not eaten better in the area. 5 stars all over the spectrum. It’s hard work, but keep it up, Tarka!

The food was great, the service was on point, overall great place to eat. Specially if you enjoy spicy food.
The best food and the worst customer service ever. A family came in 10 minutes after we did and they didn’t even have any reservation, but got served in literally 15 minutes. Why? Because they were friends with the manager. Writing this review after sitting for over an hour at the restaurant. If you are visiting here, become friends with the manager if you wish to be ever served. Although, I must say that the food here is AMAZING. I may go there again just for the food.
The ambiance is wonderful. Very neat, well kept, roomy. The menu is extensive, with much variety. The flavors are original and taste like home cooked. The dishes are plentiful and the staff is very caring. Theresa is a wonderful and knowledgeable host. She is very pleasant and patient. We frequent it quite often. Pricing is very reasonable. A must try!
The most authentic Pakistani food I have tasted in the US east coast across Nj, nyc and Virginia. We friends came here for first time and the overall experience was 5 star awesome. This includes ambiance / cleanliness, customer service and food! The staff were attentive and the manager and owner came out and served us many dishes on demand. Owners words “I want customers to be reminded of Pakistan”. Other owners words “we focus on ambiance, customer service and food”. All local and visitors must go here and support this new restaurant.
