A tough one to review. The staff were great and attended to all of our needs. The entrees were very nice and made simple ingredients taste great. Some of the mains however left a lot to be desired for. The fish and chips were dreadful and apart front the Ox Cheek, most mains were average or below. Better options in the area.

Felt underwhelmed by the experience. The venue and food was pretty good other than the very awkward hospitality. There was a lack of confidence and vibe. It wasn’t busy and yet it felt slow for a Thursday night. The interactions with bar staff were just strange

Nothing wrong here. Slick modern refurb is nice but does lack the warm, for me, of old school inner city pubs north of the river. Taps are contracted (I think) so don't expect any artisan craft beer offerings.

The space and atmosphere have a very understated but polished finish. The food was what you would expect from a pub in 2020, nothing too challenging, but presented in an appealing way, and well made. As some other reviews say, the service here is an absolute gold star. The waitress with the beautiful French accent is amazing, and gave absolutely flawless service. I really hope that the business owners appreciate her, because she is an absolute asset.

Poor dining experience. Wines on menu not in cellar. Took an hour to get a bottle of wine by that stage had already finished entrees. Ordered a 2017 Chardonnay got delivered a 2018 and then told it was the same price... what? When questioned was told white isn’t like red... double what???!!! Food just average. Would never go mostly due to staff’s terrible attitude.

Originally known as The Cricketers Arms Hotel, The Coppersmith has been renovated top-to-bottom as a 16 room boutique hotel with gastropub, bistro and rooftop bar. Rooms aren't huge, but are relatively luxurious for a former pub. Location is excellent with direct trams to city and St Kilda, as well as being walking distance to countless cafes, restaurants and the South Melbourne Market. Food at the bar and bistro is excellent, with two separate menus but the flexibility to order from one or the other or both.

Went to the Coppersmith last night for dinner with a friend. The service was incredible, the waitress serving us was incredibly friendly! Food wise, I can’t recommend the oysters enough. They were fresh, quite large and very very tasty! Highly recommended. I’d come back for their oyster specials during happy hour on a Friday alone! For the main course we got a scotch fillet and the duck confit. The steak was pretty good and done to perfection, though I would have expected a slightly better quality of meat. The duck was good but the fact it was sitting in a bowl of beans was a bit strange. We expected a better accompaniment. Sadly the duck was polished off by the end of the sitting in the same was the steak was. The glass of wine we had was a NZ Cab Sav and it was very good. Worked well with the steak for sure. We’d come back simply for the oysters next time.

Traveling to Melbourne from Perth with friends for a week. We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by Holly the Hotel Manager. We were welcomed, checked in and showed to our room with little to no effort. We had a nice room on level 2 that was comfortable with all the amenities you need while away from home. One of the first things we noticed was the room was filled with plenty of natural light. The room is equipped with all quality amenities from luxury towels and top quality toiletries. The great touches don’t stop at the room, quality food and beverages are a plenty in either the restaurant or bar on the ground floor or from the roof top bar with amazing views over Albert park and the Melbourne CBD. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Melbourne. Great service, great amenities with the personal touch.
