The bar is decorated to a high standard in a nice a surrounding. It was very clean and the bar staff made us feel welcome on arrival. We had the bottomless prosecco, the bar staff would come and top up our glasses regularly. I had the fish and chips, the mushy peas were delicious. However, the fish tasted like it was not battered on the premises, more like they served a pre-processed battered fish. This was the only thing that let the venue down.

Tried the Thai red chicken curry. Had to bite quite hard to get through what turned out to be cheap nasty thigh meat, scarcely cooked. Got it exchanged for breast meat, which was at least edible, but not much more than that. Green beans also virtually raw. Sauce ok. Wine was nice, but not nice enough to tempt me through the door again.

We had a post birthday celebration on Wednesday. The new menu is delicious, the drinks were amazing and the service faultless. The staff is always nice and attentive, really appreciate their service.

I really like the staff here - they are absolutely lovely. And the food is perfectly fine - if a little unimpressive and overpriced for what it is. The coffee however is disastrous. If you’re taking a ‘london’ model then a real basic is being able to make a decent coffee, especially if it’s expensive. My coffees here have been really bad. Burnt coffee and scalding hot burnt milk. A flat white is meant to be a certain temperature to retain the sweetness and creaminess of the milk. What I ordered (twice) was virtually undrinkable. I’ve really tried to give this place a chance, but it really needs some attention and finessing
