This place was the bomb!! Everything from food, atmosphere, aura, and Covid precautions. I was impressed! I ordered a full beef rib and shared it with my daughter. It was well over a pound of meat. The taste was superb! You better be hungry if you are going to tackle one of these yourself. HUGE! I also ordered a 1/4 lbs of brisket. Great color. Good ring. The bar-b-cue was on.. Then there were the fixins. Try the mac and cheese, very tasty. They also give complementary pinto beans if you ask for them. You be glad you did. No \infusion\ or some chef trying to make his mark in the culinary world and reinvent the wheel. Just good old home made pinto beans. Top it off with a cobbler of your choice. You'll be glad you did. DELICIOUS!! All in all, if you are in town for a visit (despite Covid), or you are a regular, then come back. I highly recommend this place.

OK BBQ place. The blackberry cobbler was delicious and not too sweet. We got the last pan scraping remnants of the cobbler, so we can only imagine how excellent a full piece would have been. Pork ribs were just OK; not tender fall off the bone, but dry and salty. Brisket was good, lean, tasty, but a little salty. Coleslaw is good with a sweet vinegar balance, but not creamy. BBQ sauce is good, vinegar based, but extremely watery. Update: Went back for the blackberry cobbler. Got there at noon and the blackberry cobbler was already nearly half gone. This time we had a complete serving and not just pan scrapings. It was excellent, with plump, juicy, whole blackberries. This warranted an extra star in the rating.

Great Texas chain. I just had the ribs at the Fort Worth location and these were just as good. Brisket was tasty, however the sausage was just a time bit dry. With an Austin Amber Ale my late lunch was tasty and filling. There is seating inside and outside and there is adequate Covid protocols.

Loved the beef ribs. Hubs has brisket and loved it too. Gluten free which is really nice. Corn, beans, coleslaw, all great. Hubs had the regular mac and cheese and liked it. Will come back next time I'm in town.

Cooper's is one of the top 3 BBQ joints down in Austin by far. Super friendly staff, plenty of seating both inside and outside, and a huge menu of things to choose from. Their meat is on point, very juicy and big portions for pretty decent amount of money, so you get what you pay for. Their BBQ sauce is a bit on the more liquid-side so be prepared if you only like it thick. The prime rib was so tender, the chicken was too. Their sides are pretty bomb too, mac-n-cheese was probably my favorite. Would highly recommend a trip here if you are in downtown Austin.
