Great to be able to have a drove into the countryside and find a pub with a warm welcome, friendly staff, great food and a great homely feel.
Went in for a drink and a meal, place was virtually empty and the few locals that were in there stared at us the entire time, we were then told that they were \full\ and had to leave. Not the first time either, two mates have also tried to visit for a drink in the past and were totally ignored by the staff and as a result had to leave. Obviously have to be part of the thin local bloodline to receive any kind of welcome here.
What a lovely clean public house serving beautiful homemade cooked meals and desserts. We went on our way to Bridgemere garden centre and popped in for lunch. The food served was of high quality and well presented. Both the main meals and desserts were of the same top quality. I would highly recommend here for a meal and all at very reasonable prices with lovely friendly and polite staff. We will certainly be visiting again when in the area.
We stopped because the flowers out side were just lovely ,we were able to eat out side on the patio. Food was great value for money very pleasant staff .
