Went to one of the many Comic-Con's here. You can tell by the pictures I had fun...

I have been to local flower shows that were nice, but the one is Philadelphia is spectacular. There are flowers everywhere in displays of every imaginable combination. Some were set up by landscape companies showing what they could do for your back yard patio and grounds. Others were nurseries showing off the different varieties they offered. Others were displays by different garden clubs. Then there were the flower arrangements that were judged and awarded. Most were quite beautiful and very creative. Some of the pictures look like paintings but they are made with pressed plant parts glued to a surface. They are amazingly beautiful and must have taken a lot of time. I wonder how much they fade with time after all that work.

We came to the show with high expectations, as we have been coming to the Flower Show for more than 20 years (every few years) to enjoy this perennial peek into Spring. Sad to say this years show was pretty underwhelming, starting with the main entrance display. While the theme was intriguing, its execution fell short of the mark. This is not to say that everything was off, there were some really well thought out flower displays that were beautiful. But, many more were an eclectic, poorly lighted, abstract displays of which were simply overwhelmed, cluttered with sticks, roots, insulation and all sorts of stuff, making some displays look like they were over weeded. One large display in particular was was based on a junkyard, with building walls covered in graffiti, amazingly the was one solitary yellow flower poking up...just a sad exhibition for a flower show. The one with the hundreds of haphazardly stacked, painted (purple) paper dinner plates was really weird. However, one of brighter spots was the single flower and plant displays, those plants were lovingly prepared and nurtured by their owners was as usual an enjoyable display area. Lastly, the vendor area seems to be continually growing in its density and probably its footprint as well. After 5 hours, we were finished and left for home without the exhilarating feeling that we expected.... We'll probably come back in hopes of a much better show in the future. Still took lots of pictures and movies here are a mix for you to enjoy or maybe not.

I honestly cannot think of another place that could hold such a tremendous exhibition of cars! I was here attending a car show and it was excellent! The convention center is a terrific place to put any kind of an event that could possibly be on a grander scale that you could ever imagine and the people that run the convention center our heads and shoulders above any other. I love the central location.it allows for easy access for public transportation and all of the other convenience is that are in the nearby areas. I definitely recommend that you attend any of the future events at this locationand I definitely recommend anyone looking for a spectacular venue for their next event to be held at I definitely recommend the Philadelphia Convention Center.
