CANVEY ISLAND ESSEX Canvey Island in Essex is the birthplace of the rock band Dr Feelgood, and another place to celebration of the English seaside Arrive in the morning for beach combing amongst the cockles and mussels and oyster shells. Looking out to sea and there the Kent coast on the other side of the Thames Estuary. It is a family place, mums with pushchairs and older children wait for the funfair to. On Concord Beach, on the Eastern Esplanade it is alive with families having fun. The Concord Beach Café provides excellent fish and chips and cups of tea. The sounds of kids, mums and grandparents drift across our table. This is super day trip destination.

Lots of fun at any time of year. A lovely place to stop and reflect. A chance to have some relaxing time. There's a cafe there but it is only open at peak times. There are shops nearby and arcades for the children. The walk along the beach is so lovely as the wall is covered in beautiful paintings and there are benches right the way along that have been placed in memory of someone. It's just a really nice place. Visit it soon, if you haven't already.
