This is our favorite spot in Midhurst and the maker of great coffee and an awesome bacon and egg sandwich. There is a little spot to sit outside and inside is cosy and packed full of goodies. Lovely staff who really care about your experience and seem to know everyone that comes into the cafe. Well worth a visit.

Comestibles is fabulous. I’ve been to my fair share of fancy/trendy London coffee places and Comestibles serves very good coffee. Their flapjacks are amazing and they have a fabulous selection of crisps, pasta (dried) and other dry food goods, plus they do sandwiches and cakes. If you’re a coffee lover, Comestibles is well worth a visit.

Friendly service and very good food with excellent fresh ingredients. It's delightfully off the beaten track, hidden away on a street that should not be missed. It's also a wonderful Aladdin's cave of a deli - you could do a big slice of your Christmas shopping as you sit drinking an excellent coffee or two.

Sandwiches were good. Person at the till was welcoming. However, we were originally going to get takeaway but as it started raining heavily we asked if we could sit in instead, which the woman at the till said yes to. The gentleman (the owner?) appeared very, very stand-offish about us sitting in though and it made us feel very uncomfortable. When another customer came in to eat in but there were no tables left, he appeared frustrated at our presence there. Consequently, we ate very quickly and left. The place is lovely inside however with a very unique charming feel. If we didn't feel so uncomfortable we definitely would have bought several of the deli options on the way out. However, unfortunately we weren't made to feel welcome by the gentleman.

Really lovely coffee and vegan carrot cake this morning - friendly and efficient service too they loaned us a little tray to take out our coffee and cake which we consumed sat outside by the war memorial. Highly recommended.
