Hired twice from these guys, Peter is a legend, extremely helpful on both occasions. The vans are brilliant and well prepared, coming with everything you need for a fantastic trip. Rock solid and reliable. Have recommend to friends and family and would certainly use again in the future. The vans have plenty of character and are great fun. Very comfortable, providing a great night's sleep and more than capable on the road. Your given a full run down of the vans on pick up and Peter is more than happy to answer questions on the phone if you need during your travels. We we're given a free upgrade as one of the two vans we booked was involved in an accident and although just repaired Peter wanted to double check everything before renting it out. Absolute brilliant service, these guys go above and beyond. Many thanks for a great trip and many brilliant memories.

AVOID THIS COMPANY! 48 hours before picking up the campervan I have been called and advised the camper I had booked is now unavailable/broken. I have been told there is no replacement van they could provide. The only solution is for me to go through another company, meaning I would have to pay another 1000 in deposit and 680 for the van. I have not had any of my money back from this company and it will not clear until way after I go on holiday. I can’t afford this on top of paying for the holiday. I have now lost my only holiday in 2 years, am 1680 down and have lost a further 100 on a campsite which has a no refund policy. The company refuses to compensate me for the campsite and has no interest in making things right. Save yourself money, time and heartache by avoiding this company.
Peter and his team could not have been more helpful. He was willing to let us provisionally book Fat Tony whilst we waited to see if DVLA would pass our vehicle in time for our hols. Fat Tony was great and easy to drive When I broke my wrist and could not drive back from Sussex on the last day of our hols, Peter did not make a drama out of a crisis and we were so grateful for this: he made it easy for us to register a second driver who had to drive from Northants to collect us and the van. All emails, phone calls and WhatsApp messages were quickly answered throughout our experience with Hire a Hymer. The vehicle was good value for money (although we could have done with a manual to take with us on our travels) and the deposit returned within days. Cannot recommend highly enough! Thank you
These guys were great, very helpful, and their vans are awesome particularly if you like a retro look and feel to your camper.
