As usual, Chelsea did a fantastic job with my dog. This time it was even more special, we hadn’t had a chance to take him to the groomers for four months due to the quarantine. Great job, I highly recommend her!
They had very little live animals to adopt. In the past few years it has been harder to find frozen small rats and the price has gone up a lot. Dog toys are aimed at the smaller breeds. Fish department is good and I always find what I need. Bird supplies are also well stocked just don't expect to find many if any live birds to choose from.
Our visit started by asking an associate in the fish department about salt water tanks and how to get started in salt water fish. She said she didn't know much about salt water and nobody in the store did. There was one person who did, but wouldn't be in until Tuesday. We looked on, we came to buy sand and a background for our tank. It was like everyone disappeared, it was about lunch time. We found one guy in the rodent department and asked about cutting some background for us, as it is sold by the foot. He directed us to his manager, who was in plain clothes as far as we could tell with a big coat on and nothing identifying her. We asked for some assistance with the background and she turned away from us and walked upfront, we were puzzled. She went upfront and hit a button to call someone from the back to come to that department. Mary came to help us. The background was marked every 10cm and a barcode in between every other one (every 20cm) The background is marked to be sold for 1.99 for every linear foot. Mary didn't understand how to give us 6 feet and after a quick Google search and showing her that 10cm is about 4 inches. We measured it out and she cut it off the roll. I also asked her why there was a price difference between the website and the store on the price of the sand and asked if it was still on sale, showing her my app was for the Columbus location and she said the prices can vary, so heads-up about that. Mary also checked us out at the register upfront. She scanned every single barcode on the background. I asked to clarify that the price was per linear foot and she said yes. I pointed out that she was right there with us as we measured it out and she herself cut it. It was six feet and she was charging us for nine. She didn't care so I told I wasn't buying anything from their store. I had 4 big bags of sand and a small bag of neon rocks too. I'll find some place else, some place that is there FOR their customers.
