Very good staff and location. Right off a busy road but quiet and within walking distance to several good cafes and dinner spots. Pool is nice and refreshing. AC is amazing in the room so good we could sleep with the sheets on!

It is a fantastic location. Highly secured zone. Everything is close by from here. Places like the National Museum, Presidents office and other Govt. offices are walkable distance. This is the best place to commute all around Colombo. The people working inside the villa speak English and are very hospitable.
The villa is in a great location, close to national museum and other sites. With their free bikes you can get to the main spots (incl sea side) within 10-15 minutes. The house itself is charming, really authentic feel, very clean and welcoming. The pool is a bit small but nice enough to take a dip and cool off. Also very clean and right amount of chlorine. Even though there is staff walking around they make themselves almost invisible so you really feel like you have a lot of privacy. We finished our 2 week trip here, so it was perfect for final relaxing before our flight back. Arranged a driver to the airport in the middle of the night for only 2800 rupees (plus tolls). Also recommend for beginning because the manager/owner really can give great trips. He’s clearly very experienced in the hospitality sector and all staff are working with the same service-driven mentality. Very friendly and welcoming. Really nothing but positivity and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
I can't say enough about our last stay in Colombo in May a few weeks after the Easter bombings. From the driver who picked us up during curfew, to our arrival at about 4:00 a.m. to the refreshing drink and welcome and then to bed, everything was done in a friendly, welcoming way. Breakfast was delightful and the room was our favourite with a very comfortable bed. We swam every day in the pool which now has a canopy over it. To stay here is to stay with friends.

Colombo Villa is a gorgeous sanctuary in a busy town. Our family loved the very large room, and especially loved the pool - but really there wasn't anything we could find fault with. And after we checked out at 11am, with 12 hours to kill before our flight, they were happy for us to set up a little basecamp near the pool and use their showers etc. so we left ready for the arduous trip ahead in the best condition possible. One of other guests visited Colombo five times a year for several weeks at a time, and had chosen Colombo Villa as her "home away from home" - and we can see why. The general neighbourhood was nice too - a short stroll from the National Museum and park, and a breeze to hail tuk-tuks if needed. And the pool is covered for when the occasional downpour strikes! 5 stars.
Great little Villa hotel with breakfast, pool, clean rooms, comfy beds and great customer service.
It's a small gem hidden in a great locality. Wonderful hosts.. .had a great stay with family
