I Great museum in English, German and French. The tanks and vehicles were amazing to see and well set up. There are well written information panels with to the point information on the lead up to the war and the events during and after. Definitely worth a visit!

Impressive original items, from small till complete vehicles used in combat. Touching things that roamed the Normandy beaches gives you the chills

We came after New Year and it looked like the museum was still closed. We passed it a few times on the way to Omaha Beach and the American Cemetary. We stopped on the way back to admire the items on display in the front. They do have a parking lot but we parked on the road since we were just looking around. The displays on the outside were all quite interesting, particularly the bridge wit h a tank on it. They had other tanks and artillery as well. I would imagine the insides to be quite interesting if we had found the outside fun enough already. It was unfortunately closed but would have liked to look inside.

It's a great museum for all generation. Nice display of vehicles, tanks, and memorials. Well organized and lots of information about WWII. It's a must when in the area

The Overlord Museum at colleville sur mer is one of the biggest WW2 museum in Normandy. This impressive museum was formerly located in Failase and the collection was collected by Michel Leloup (1929 - 2011) who was both a witness to the conflict and involved in the reconstruction of Normandy. Personal items from individual soldiers and armoured fighting vehicles from the six armies in Normandy will be presented as a series of dioramas showing over 35 vehicles, tanks and guns. In impressive modern layout the museum tells the history of the Battle of Normandy. it's a great museum for a normal entree fee, the only downside of this museum is the lighting, it's set up as mode lighting and it's pretty much to predominant with the wrong kind of lighting set up facing up wards. The museum can also focus more information on some more objects. Still some of these displays are really impressive and one of the best in the area and that's what some people come here for big displays and a lot of vehicles.

First class museum! Great displays and dioramas. Very well put together. My only complaint is that they were under renovation while we were there. The whole museum smelled of paint fumes. Despite that, they have many great vehicles that I have not seen anywhere else, and some that are extremely rare. I'm sure once the renovations are complete this one is going to be a crowd favorite. The thing I enjoyed most was that under the description of each vehicle and some artifacts was a small story as to the circumstances about when and where it was found and how the museum acquired it.
