The cemetery is located on the clifftop so it has a really nice view of the ocean and beach they tried to invade. The paths along the cemetery are very clean and the white crosses line the entire area. The crosses were evenly lined along the different lawn areas with names on the back. There were a few other areas in the cemetery that was nice to look at including the chapel, the pond and the garden of remembrance. It was very peaceful walking around and learning about the history of the area.

This is a beautiful experience and a place I am sure many Americans wish they could visit. It is definitely worth your time and it was a great honor to pay my respects to these heroes.

The energy here is palpable. A truly special place for those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. I’ve been here twice now and finally got to see the visitor center which is also very informative. Highly recommend you come here if you are visiting France.

I loved my staying here at this place. The Normandy as a whole. The word love in this case means much more a “thank” than any other think. During the visit I few bad sometimes because I knew what had happened at that place in the past. I only spent one day in Normandy but I’ll be back. It worth. Believe me. If you go to this place, please don’t be a tourist for a while. Don’t be stupid taking selfies or whatever with a huge smile. Try to think more about the people who died there in order of your own freedom. They deserve respect.

A must see if you're into WW2 history. Very well organised and free to visit. Nice walking path and a relax atmosphere. Very good to combine with a visit to the Ovelord museum if the weather is good

Exceptionally good cemetery and memorial. The museum is very informative with various displays about the Second World War, D-Day and the soldiers who gave their lives here. This is the place where the soldiers who inspired the movie \Saving Private Ryan\ are buried. The cemetery grounds are well maintained and spotless. Typically, people spend about 1-2 hours on these grounds. Definitely worth a visit. There are several restrooms near near the parking lot and plenty of parking for cars, buses etc.
