Hua Lien Tsu Hui Temple is a highly decorated Daoist temple of Taiwanese origins in the Flushing area. The people there are welcoming even though they speak little English. The temple is open daily but I was told their services are usually around the 1st and 15th days of the lunar month. Just be aware that it's actually a kind of \Folk Taoist\ temple, so it's more of a place where ceremonies and rituals are done by priests/priestesses (and not a meditation center).
A Beautiful and Lovely Temple With Kind and Gracious people! A Must for anyone who want to learn and practice the Religion of Taoism!
