Beautiful! Loads of lovely public footpaths and trails through mixed woodland, and lots of it accessible for those less able. Don't expect a good mobile signal or fast internet. For food and accommodation, think 1970's ;). Other than those two drawbacks, it's a glorious part of the country.

Strange place quick walk to me three hours to find my way out
Love the Forest of Dean. Great variety of mountain biking trails. Great technical trails plus more family orientated riding down by the river.
No where better to be to recharge life than among the trees in the Forest of Dean and walking the Wye Valley. Great bird watching and other types of Flora and Fauna.
As a Forrester this is the most beautiful part of the world. Although the forest is not in wales!!
