Cheap, cheerful, next to outdoor pool, great staff. Basic but tasty food and beer. Nice pitches. Can be beaten if the weathers fine. Lost a star as the wider location is nothing to write home about!

Pay full price for limited services basic toilets and showers swimming pool can be used but you pay a fee for the day ..more for caravans and campervan..not so motorcycle friendly .. coldizt castle was very good and informative now a youth hostel..
Minimalistic, calm, relaxing. Watch out for dog poop on the meadow.
Great site in a valley surrounded by trees. Lots of opportunities to go walking through the surrounding countryside. The staff were very helpful. Colditz town is very close (5 minutes by car) with a great mix of shops and cafés. Obviously the castle dominates the skyline of the town. The time I was there, there were some car enthusiasts with old DDR Polizei vehicles. Wartburgs and the like. A couple of the drivers turned on the sirens for that rush of nostalgia. A small restaurant/café on site served some traditionally German dishes and some very cold Weissbier. Lovely.
If your looking to visit Castle Colditz, then this is a perfect place to stay, only a 2 km walk to the castle, through beautiful woodland. Cafe on site, swimming pool with additional cafe, all excellent, lovely family run the site. Heavenly.
