An excellent example of a Victorian Town Hall. Constructed in the 1890s or so and maintained in very good order. The main re option hall is call Moot Hall and is a wonderful example of the Victorian love of high ceilings and gothic architecture. A very suitable location to hold both civic and large family events such as banguets, dinners and receptions of all kinds.
I'm calling about 1 week the Colchester Town Hall and nobody answered my calls! approximately 100 times i called and leave a voice mails,nothing came back to me! they supposed to work yes? what a shame!
Wonderful public building of its period,went to a graduation there,tea out on first floor balcony after,very very pleasant.
Had our works Christmas do here & it is a lovely venue & the staff are all light hearted & friendly.. The drink prices are a bit steep but the food is really good.
