Visited Hatfields to buy two lounge chairs today - we were very concerned about Covid19 having been in isolation since March - they pulled out all the stops to make our visit totally safe - excellent store that puts the customer first in every respect. Some fantastic products on display.

I ordered a sofa on 07 September 2019 and it arrived on 20 November. Even before unwrapping, it was obvious that there was a very large hole in the material in the under-base. Once assembled, the sofa rocked alarmingly by 2-3 inches both ends, and, as the whole frame seemed warped, I refused delivery. I was contacted by Customer Care the next morning who seemed unaware of any assessment of what was wrong, placed responsibility with their supplier, were brusque, overly-defensive, and, at one point, downright rude. Contact with a senior Director again tried to shift blame to the customer and not accept any lack of professional Customer Care. A replacement sofa was ordered and arrived in perfect condition on 04 March 2020, some 6 months after placing the order. It is clear that Hatfields exercise no Quality Control and rely on the Quality Assurance regimes in their contract with the supplier (designed to protect them and not the customer). They have no control over delivery times. The only control appears to be to take the customers money as quickly as possible. I found their Customer Care to be well below what one would expect, even from a lower quality store. In this case, Hatfields general standards did not meet that of a high end furniture supplier. Very disappointing.
