Stephen has just overhauled and repaired my Victorian wall clock . His work is impeccable and to a very high standard . He is also reasonably priced . I'm extremley happy to now have the clock back in situ and hear its reassuring tick . Thank you Stephen .

Very disappointed. I chose this company to fix a clock that is around 50 years of age and it is great sentimental value to my mum. Ardleys had the clock 3 months and sill had not got suitable hands for the clock. I was advised I might have more luck getting something off Ebay??? As someone who is in the trade of fixing older clocks surely this should not have been a problem this was why we sent the clock to him in the first place. Very cheap workings inside. I had to constantly get in touch to find out where he was with the repairs. Very poor customer service. we have asked if the original hand and workings to be returned to us. Apparently now on holiday and will post on return, I have not been told when this will be. Looks highly unlikely I will get these back. Would not recommend Ardleys and I am sorry I ever dealt with them. Got the impression he really could not be bothered.
Hello.. my name is Stephen Ardley. I am a qualified clock and watch repair with 48 years experience in the trade. I work for myself..self employed. Sometimes I go on holiday and customers are unable to contact me...but they can always leave a message. I always have a lot of repairs in the workshop and because antique clocks are very old ...repair times vary. Often I have uncollected clocks...people drop them off and never collect them. Just because a clock takes longer to repair it doesn't mean it will cost more. Some people Mrs. Eames bring me clocks that are really not worth repairing...battery clocks in bits etc. Mrs eames. But you do the best one can.....even at a loss. Getting back to uncollected repairs your clock Diane Thompson has been waiting for you for a long time...2 months. I have put my clock which belonged to my late father in law into ardley watch repairers about 3 months ago despite numerous phone calls and calling at the shop we have not heard anything back . Poor service.
