Colchester A1 Models

Wow! Fantastic customer service, even though I am not an actual customer! Having developed a fault on my son's Christmas present by Boxing Day, I emailed A1 in desperation for some advice (I didn't buy the car from them but they are my local model shop...) not really expecting a response. To my delight, David replied the next day with some suggestions which enabled me with my very basic skills to repair the car. I will definitely be paying a visit once covid restrictions are eased to spend some money and express my gratitude.

Fantastic model shop and very deceptive from the outside. It is like an Aladdin's cave inside with loads of items to choice from. Staff are polite and helpful, and prices are very good compared to other model shops. I was extremely impressed and would highly recommend a visit.

I bought my first radio controlled car here 25yrs ago with my dad, and lots of scaletrix cars etc. I just went back and purchased a new rc truck with my young children for us to play with. Yes you pay a bit more than online, I checked, maybe only 7-8% for the truck but that pays for the brick n mortar, tax etc etc but most importantly... DECADES of knowledge and advice and seeing the kit in hand! I would not have known where to start looking for trucks, that's the biggest part of why I chose to support shops like this. I came with a few ideas but steered in the direction of the ARRMA Granite and its a great truck from a UK based manufacturer so we can easily spares if needed, I used to need a lot of spares! Me and my boys have had huge amounts of fun with it already! Thanks Dave and the other chap, i didn't get his name, got some maintenence equipment yesterday. Happy days cheers guys, I'll be back

Great place to get all your model toys for children and adults haha , excellent staff and sadly one of the only stores in the area where you can get face to face advice.
