This is a cozy place, the staff was friendly and the food was alright, it could have been tastier. I didn't like the way they served starters as soon as we sat down and without asking, which we had to pay at the end. The presentation wasn't great neither.
It is a traditional Portuguese restaurant. The octopus and the backed potatoes are really tasty. The lady pays much attention to the hygiene as well. We went there quite late (after 9 pm), luckily it opens till late night. Btw they have weekend special dishes
Great local restaurant for traditional Portuguese food. I will be back for more Octopus! Take a sweater, it gets chilly in the evenings and the space heaters aren’t very effective.

Nice local spot with a cute Portuguese atmosphere and simply food. Not a tourist trap so if you’re visiting sintra is worth a lunch stop. Just be aware there is a bit of a wait for food but sit back and relax.
The most important is the location. All the countryside around you and this restaurant is in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant is very typical farmer's shed where they used to keep animals, hay and the tools they used to use. The food is quiet good and the atmosphere was great. The servers were very helpful concerning what to eat.
