What a great place. We stumbled on it on our way back from Cabo da Roca. This place and surrounding area has a great feel, tucked away in the mountains. We sat outside in front, soaking up the late August sun. There was some seating inside as well. I had, as you can see, the Alheira de Caça which was delicious. The server was very nice, and on top of things. The wine was refreshing, served in traditional terracotta barware. If anyone is in this area I recommend stopping here...you won't be disappointed.

Rode bikes from Cascais to Cabo de Roca (yes, electric). Cafe Ocidente was the perfect spot to get recharged (us, not the bikes) before heading back to Cascais.

Nice cosy local eatery. The service staff are very friendly and gave us good food recommendations. We enjoyed eating like the locals.

My girlfriend and I road the bikes from Cascais to Cabo da Roca. Cafe Ocidente was a perfect spot to rest, have beer and eat. Very friendly service. Mostly locals dining. We enjoyed it so much that we stopped again on a way back. We had rabbit hunters style (Coelho A Cacador) it was delicious and big portion good to share. 5 stars is not enough!
