We had soup, a (half) sandwich and a waffle between us. Had to wait quite a while for food when we were the only table in. Usually this doesn't bother us but the waffle was cold when it came out. The soup had almost no taste (beyond water) and needed to be heavily seasoned to be enjoyed. The waffle itself tasted more like bread and toppings were sparse. The saving grace was the BLT sandwich which to be fair, was delicious. We just wish we had a whole one each and left the rest of it.

Lovely friendly staff and cakes are delicious, as is the coffee latte/cappuccino, you will not be disappointed.
Stopped for lunch on our way to John O'Groats and could not be more impressed. Myself and my sister had the nicest leek and potato soup and a cheese scone and my mother had a toastie. There was a small mix up in the kitchen with the toastie but the staff were lovely about it. As we left we picked up 3 chocolates - raspberry, coffee, and salted caramel - and they were sublime. Promptly texted my father after leaving - my mum wants to move to Brora!
Stopped here in January and had a wonderful meal. So...came again this week with my family and was not disappointed with the spicy pepper soup and coffee. Kids loved the cakes. Staff were great. The drinks came fast and food came hot.
You have to go to this lovely cafe if you ever visit Brora. Beautiful decor and really friendly staff. The food was so delicious and the sweets were really great. The high point are the chocolates served here, make sure you try them. It's good for kids as well.
