So, things are difficult, everyone may be a little edgy, and employees can have a bad day. And perhaps this was the case at Cobb's bakery in Cochrane at about 11:15 today where I had an uncomfortable experience. Some of the cinnamon buns have more icing than others, and I asked politely if I could have the one displayed at the front of the case as it had more icing. The employee serving me seemed put off by this request, and took the whole tray out, turned around and briefly but briskly set it down on the bread rack, then still holding the tray turned back around and almost slammed it down on the counter. She then picked up the bun and put it in a box and didn't even close the box. Just to clarify the bakery was not busy at the time and there were two employees serving the only two customers in the bakery at that time. I should point out that this kind of request on a previous occasion was met willingly and the employee even offered to put additional icing on a bun.

I love COBS. I highly recommend their Brioche buns. The cinnamon bread is the best. The Apple-icious is an absolute must try. Breads, buns, pizza crusts, tarts, everything is delicious. The staff is always knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. It's an excellent bakery.
The bread is delicious but looking beyond that... this is a generous company that gives away their bread that is no longer needed and their prices are fare. They are absolutely a community business that is appreciated.

I understand that we are all on edge regarding Covid-19; however, due to an incident at this location - which we frequent quite often - we will not be returning. Shouting at an 81 year old lady to "get out of here" and "read the sign on the door" isn't very welcoming. For the record there was one gentleman just leaving and another lady in line.
A good option to purchase individual buns and baked goods. Bread is consistently fresh and good. Staff are friendly and store is clean.
Why 4 stars and not 5? Bread slices are always too big (height) to fit in a regular toaster. What kind of fancy toaster do you need?
Friendly, inviting and yet professional service. Their staff is knowledgeable, providing very detailed descriptions and information around vegan options. The service was prompt, the atmosphere was divine. Walking in will meet up with the most amazing aromas! The product is stellar too. I've had normal breads, specialty bread items like Focaccia and their items on the sweeter side. I haven't met a product yet that they make that wasn't amazing.
