The best thing about polyapes is it's simplicity. No activities are laid on and its not a high profile sight. That makes it perfect for backwoods camps. Survival camps, and soaking up the surroundings. Similarly you can catch a train from the local station and be in the centre of london in less than an hour. Or Thorpe park or Chessington. There's plenty of hiking on the downs to be had and shops not far away. If you live locally and want a peaceful retreat its perfect. If you live far away and want to be close to London its also perfect. Good wood pile albeit pallets, plenty of fire pits and good clean toilets.

A magical campsite! Plenty of sheltered flat spots to pitch our tents, a fabulous fire pit area for socialising and eating around. The large field is great for wide games and the woods are a fantastic space for burning off energy and building assault courses! If you want a scout camp to remember then Polyapes is just perfect. Hidden away at the top of the hill makes you feel like you are in a Famous Five story! Superb clean and well maintened wash facilities topped the whole trip off!
