Really nice friendly pub not far from the Holiday Inn. Possibly one of the best beers I have ever tasted, the Gold. Food was great too. Our night was only spoiled a little by the extremely loud group in there. Boy did she have a loud mouth. She must learn to take her gin with a bit more grace and consider others.
I've been to this place a number of times now. My experience is that it's a top pub and the food is good but I've never been 100% convinced by the Chalk Hill Brewery beers. However I'm pleased to report on my last visit that the beer I had was absolutely excellent so things are looking up.
