I’m lucky enough for this to be my local ‘corner shop’ where I find myself picking up the bits I always seem to forget when I go to Tesco etc Staff are always friendly and helpful, and if you’re a regular as I am, always remember you and what you’ve been up to - that level of customer service alone makes it worth paying a bit more for some things than you would in a supermarket It also reminds you exactly what the COOP stands for, it’s community and the people they serve within it. Plus who doesn’t love going in for their amazing 5/10 deals on food which make for a perfect night in on the sofa?

It's a little more expensive than the big supermarkets but they are open longer and tend to have most of the essentials. The staff are also very friendly, which is a bonus. 4 stars because sometimes they'll leave expired deals on display so you have to be on the ball with what you're getting charged.
