Ten minute walk from where I was staying on Barra..its the main food buying place on the island. (There is a very handy general store on the High Street) The co- op is the usual well stocked supermarket we all know and love.:). Plenty of fresh food, bread ,cakes and frozen/tinned goods.
Dependable, predictable but boring. Maybe but I like the Co-op because I know what I will have available. I can buy fresh food for a week, and different fresh food the following week, but then it's back to week 1. I don't have a good fridge or freezer on my boat..
Good-sized store with a wide selection of quality products and good prices. The staff are friendly and helpful. The store is clean and modern, and has a commodious car park.
Bought washing line, to tie the grandchildren up, to keep holy the Sabbath day.
