Great choices of different cheese variations, good restaurant and interesting museum!

We went for a chance to see how cheeses of this region are made. Unfortunately this place is a lost opportunity. Too commercial and badly presented with no guide, broken exhibits and fairly poor video presentations.

A must for every lover of the great cheeses of the Jura! In addition a recommendable restaurant with the possibility to acquire also on Sundays nice specialties of the region

Restaurant (didn't) eat there but took the tour on cheese making. Tour consisted of self guiding through several films in different locations plus an exhibit of cheese making equipment. First film in English was instructive. Second film had nothing to do with cheese making but a poorly constructed blend of average photographs together with some unforgettable mood music. Last set of films were on cheese making but projected on a wall above a mechanised plant. There was no explanation of what was happening below, just a series of plastic containers being transferred to a conveyor platform. The tour ended with tasting five of their cheeses accompanied by a small glass of pleasant wine.

Great place with a lot of things to do for an excursion away from the city, but there's a few things they could do better especially to welcome visiting foreigners. Ask about the nearby hiking paths too while you're there! Nice restaurant, nice and tasty food, if you're a cheese lover (otherwise I don't know why you're going there!). Service was nice and friendly, but there were a lot of flies around the restaurant. That's next to a forest and pastures so that's hard to avoid, but an annoyance nonetheless. The museum is nice, but very little content is available in English. We were only offered a 10 mintues introductory video for non-french speakers. The cheese and wine tasting at the end does not suffer from language barriers though! The shop is great, with lots of cheese, souvenirs and specialties from Franche-Comté
