Great service, you felt very safe, well ventilated area and good food but you did need more food on your plate, this would have made it perfect.

Slow service and moldy panini! The setting was beautiful, but the lack of food options (after twice being told they didn't have my choice-- though all were said to be available) and then being served moldy panini bread for my sandwich, I went elsewhere! The staff never apologised for the problem!! They told me 'well, it was fine this morning!' The rest of my party had ok food, but I refused to eat at a place that made me feel as though it was my fault they didn't have the items on their menu that I had ordered!
Lovely friendly little place with lots of really interesting veg and vegan options. Separate to the castle so no entry fee. Relaxed, would go back.
I had stopped visiting the Castle tearooms (as was always disappointed) and so was curious to see what the new 'Da Vinci' would be like... I am so pleased - great to see the new management settling in and bringing a friendly, welcoming atmosphere! We (three generations of my family) have visited since your first day (about 8 weeks back?) and are slowly working through your delightful imaginative menu! This time around I tried the Shropshire Rarebit - very tasty and my what an amazing salad on the side! Katie had the wonderful scrambled eggs, Toby the sausage and eggs (all locally sourced) and the 2 kiddies were treated like royalty with a 'mini-me' version of sausage and eggs which they thoroughly enjoyed! Drinks were served promptly - nice and hot. I would highly recommend! If you are looking for a quick fry up or 'microwaved' pre-prepared food then go elsewhere. This is real home cooking - made for you made with love and care.
Lovely experience, staff so welcoming and friendly. Good gluten free options, vegan options too, dog friendly. Such a lovely independent café, definitely worth a visit!
